Glenridding Neighbourhood
It's been awhile in the works and I get to finally share with everyone that some time in August we'll be moving from Sherwood Park into Edmonton. We didn't think of ever owning a brand new home, used to always think the building process was long and tedious but it's been wonderful. Our new home is being built by Landmark in the new area Glenridding in the Windermere neighbourhood. In a way it reminds of Sherwood Park. There's some great walking trails, we'll be close to the new Windermere shopping area and really quick access off the Henday. Besides me yacking more than need me, here's a bit of the process so far!
Late April the outside stage of our new home is finishing up.
The new living room with fireplace.. yes, I'm already dreaming about decorating the mantle for Christmas!
It looks so odd at the moment with the studs and spray foam insulation but I'm already planning everything out....
I've been dreaming like mad over in Pinterest land!
What will be the new kitchen and pantry... studs and all.. I'm so excited! eeek!
Father's Day:
Yesterday, we had another guided tour by our Landmark Rep, Caitlin. Who showed us more of the process. I was seriously over the top when I saw the
new fireplace with the mantle installed, the door hung, pot lighting in the kitchen and the kitchen cabinets had been delivered!
August, seems like it can't come soon enough.. it's like waiting for Christmas!!!!
I'm in love with our new front entry... soo much room for guests!
Above: My Current view out my living room window. Fence will be going in and the road behind our house will be the
extension of Rabbit Hill Road.
The future road, it's going to look so weird in years to come, when we've seen this neighbourhood
develop from farmers field to streets, sidewalks, parks.. Though, I'd like to see the field behind us not be developed.. but that's a little wishful thinking.
Yes, below sitting on the wall is my son, who again amazes me at how he scales a stone wall to what will be the future entrance into our area!
