Kayaking - North Saskatchewan River
Sunday mornings come around and I need to go & be, explore.
Sitting around the house, gets me restless, a lack of action just brings up frustration and I start to feel hedgy. My husband knows, when he sees it me.. I need to move, I need to explore.. I can't sit still...
Solution.. At the start of June, we purchased 2 Pelican kayaks from Costco (love Costco). We've made about 6 trips thus far, a few done the river, a couple of trips to some local lakes..on the agenda is a trip to the mountains to go exploring some of the cool blue lakes in around Hinton/Jasper area.

It'll be our 2nd Christmas in our new house, last year I didn't do much in dressing up our home for the holidays however, this year I've been searching through Pinterest looking for inspiration. I went on a pinning spree late in the night, planning out what I'd like to do. I saved my Pinned list to my phone and went hunting for items that reflected my list.
My plan was instead of hitting up the typical decor stores I'd do a little hunting for my holiday treasures.
Corrine & I met a few years ago through home schooling and we're also book-buddies. I'm in her awesome book club where we meet up once a month, go out for appetizers & wine.. catch up on life, kids and talk about whether a book was top shelf or a total flop and hits the bottom drawer.... without her, I just don't read for enjoyment the way I'd like to. She's my literary lifeline, she's my "good-reads"!
She's always a huge encourager, has a big mama heart and well one of the sweeetest people I know! So, when she called me back in October needing some new photo's for Christmas, we quickly made it happen, hitting up a quiet little spot in the city and did some exploring with her & her awesome crew down by the creek.
I took a drive today around the city, after all the ceremonies, taking pause to honour those that have served and gave so much of their lives for so many. With the little I can do, my heartfelt thanks goes out to each individual that gave so much.
Ever wonder what I bring to a family lifestyle session, today we're taking a quick look & sharing with you some of the equipment I bring along.
1. Starters.. I carry my Nikon D3.. she is my work horse. A full frame purchased from Adorama Camera. I adore her.. She is my Bessy Girl (yes, I am that girl that names her gear, cars, bike, travel trailer), along with my Canon AE-1 (film) and my back up body a Nikon D300s (not shown)
