Parker Turns 2!
Parker turns TWO!
The goofy pup, who knows at the sound of the words, "Dog Park" begins to act like he's hooped up on a mound of sugar, celebrated his 2nd birthday and looking dashing with his bow tie... because well, he needs to celebrate the start of his 2nd year in style, hit up the local Pet Valu in Windermere tonight to do a little birthday shopping!
Totally being the spoiled pup tonight by running around the store with no leash... on the hunt for the perfect birthday treat! It's a dog life!
Parkers super excited to be getting his "swanky" new KISS Tshirt! He's a big fan of Gene Simons! And even being a bit of rebel by counter surfing when he knows he's not allowed.. #badmanners
Corrine & I met a few years ago through home schooling and we're also book-buddies. I'm in her awesome book club where we meet up once a month, go out for appetizers & wine.. catch up on life, kids and talk about whether a book was top shelf or a total flop and hits the bottom drawer.... without her, I just don't read for enjoyment the way I'd like to. She's my literary lifeline, she's my "good-reads"!
She's always a huge encourager, has a big mama heart and well one of the sweeetest people I know! So, when she called me back in October needing some new photo's for Christmas, we quickly made it happen, hitting up a quiet little spot in the city and did some exploring with her & her awesome crew down by the creek.
Ever wonder what I bring to a family lifestyle session, today we're taking a quick look & sharing with you some of the equipment I bring along.
1. Starters.. I carry my Nikon D3.. she is my work horse. A full frame purchased from Adorama Camera. I adore her.. She is my Bessy Girl (yes, I am that girl that names her gear, cars, bike, travel trailer), along with my Canon AE-1 (film) and my back up body a Nikon D300s (not shown)
Guilty as charged!
It's true.. I do forget to print my own images as much as the next guy! My goal this year has been to print as much as I can for myself, for my kids, for my hubby..and well for my lonely walls! It's been a little over a year when we moved into our first-brand-new-built-for-us-house. A lifetime of marriage and we did something we thought we'd never do and that was build new.
Years ago I was scheduled to photograph a family in their home to take some photos for their holiday cards. I arrived, set up.. the kids were being silly and showing me all their stuff.... All was going pretty good but dad was running behind schedule... no biggie!
This month I'm challenging myself to blog for 20 days.. ya, I could blog everyday.. but I'm not superwoman.. so I'll go with attempting 20days. .and hopefully I won't completely exhaust myself! .. it also means.. (gulp).. a post daily through the week!
Introducing the sweetest pooch Merry, an ever so lovely Bernese Mountain dog and her owner Darice where they reside in one of my favourite areas, just off 124street.
This mornings mini session was originally to take place in summer.. but on that day, it was stifling hot.. no one would cope well with the temps, especially Merry with her beautiful fur coat...
We live in one of the best cities, home to some of the best family events going on, there’s always something taking place on a weekend and often at no to little cost to families to boot!
This weekend the 2nd Edmonton Family Picnic was held at Grizzly Bear Lodge Playground by the Kinsmen Park in Edmonton’s beautiful river valley put on by Edmonton’s Child Magazine & Box Social Events along with several local businesses supporting this years event it was a pretty fabulous turnout! Seriously, how great is it that so many local businesses come together to bring out Edmonton’s families!
