The Humans I Love Project
The Humans I love Documentary Project is a very personal project where I have the privilege of photographing and sharing my friend's stories. Stories of triumph, of rising above, of kindness and compassion. These are the stories of my friends I've met along the way in this life, who make a difference in this world. Our lives are better because of them.
Kicking off this series, I wanted to photograph my friend, Andrew. (more of his story will follow at a later date). He is a kind soul, despite the shit, he’s been put through, and overcome, his quiet manner, his thoughtful words encourage me to be a better soul.
He’s faced his own persecution as a gay man, has dealt with hate and has continued to dish out love. Every day, Andrew wakes up with pain that he bears as a result of Lyme’s disease, though the disease has robbed him of much, he still finds ways to create art, to dream, to write, to adventure the best way he knows how.
